It was an outstanding vintage. 2018 was particularly warm resulting ripe, complex wines with excellent flavour concentration. The natural acidity of the Furmint grape and the supporting volcanic terroir create the strong acid back bone that made this wine so well balanced.
Excellent minerality along with ripe yellow apple and a touch of herbs like nettle and grass. The oak adds an extra layer of flavours of clove and hazel. This wine already shows sings of tertiary flavours of hay and petrol. This wine has a great potential to be aged for decades.
The wine works well with pork sirloin, baked pork chops and creamy chicken.
